Common chicory (Cichorium intybus), also known as coffee root, is a perennial herb that can also be found growing wild in Estonia. The root, which also contains a lot of inulin, is used as a drug. Inulin is a soluble fiber that contributes to normal bowel function and increases bowel frequency. The beneficial effect on the digestive system can be seen if you consume 12 grams of chicory inulin every day. We use in Nutrifiber Complex a special granulated form of BENEO Orafti®GR inulin, which is used as inulin isolated from common chicory (Cichorium intybus). BENEO was also the first company to request a health claim from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for its own inulin, which was also issued in 2015. NutriFiber complex contains 12 grams of inulin in two tablespoons of the mixture, the consumption amount of which has been approved by EFSA.

Blond plantain, also known as desert Indianwheat (Plantago ovata) is a perennial plant that grows widely around the world, but is mostly found in India. Blond plantain is a good source of psyllium, which is abundant in the outer seed coats of the plant. The psyllium husk contain a lot of soluble fiber, which absorbs liquid and is not digested in the small intestine. This, in turn, stimulates the work of the intestines.
Freeze-dried sour cherries (Prunus Cerasus) add flavor to the fiber mix. Sour cherries are a good source of vitamin C.
