Glucomannan is a natural water-soluble fiber found in Konjac tuber root (Amorphophallus rivieri, synonym A. konjac). Glucomannan absorbs water very well and turns into a gel-like mass, which is why glucomannan helps to create a feeling of fullness faster in our body with a smaller amount of food. Glucomannan contributes to weight loss if 3 g of glucomannan is consumed daily in three one-gram doses with 1-2 glasses of water before meals and as part of a reduced-calorie diet. In addition, glucomannan helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels if you consume 4 g of glucomannan per day.
